The original one: BASE
Guardone
There are Matt Madden's '99
Ways to tell a story: Exercises in styles' in class. Compared with the original
one on the top, I would like the Guardone more.
“Guardone”:
I think the comic is more
interesting as I like the window frame and it make the comic very special. We
can see the two characters’ activities and their interaction through the window.
There were some speech balloons and thought bubbles, but we cannot see clearly
because of the window frame. However, it still attracts me to see the words
clearly and other details of the pictures.
In addition, I choose this
picture because I think that it was quite special and very vague that something
would happen at the house. The window frame made it seemed to include detective
story that make me to guess what happen of the man. There possibly was a person
to use telescope to monitor the man in order that he could find out some
mysteries. I like the comic since the story was told by third person and the
view was from outside. The view attracts me to think and want to read again
because it might have other story that we did not know. Since it was told by the
third person, all the activities of the man did not show in front of us, it
increases our imagination when he moved to other room.
Since the facial expression of the man was very serious in the fifth panel,
he might have something to think.
I will wonder what he look for in front of the refrigerator.
It added the interesting of the comic at the same time.
